How does this all work at giving hope?

  1. Our volunteers pick-up food and beverage donations daily.
  2. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches, a beverage, fruits, vegetables, snacks and desserts are prepped daily and bagged into individual meals by a second team of volunteers in the plant.
  3. A third team of volunteers drive and deliver the bagged meals directly to homeless and food insecure friends every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  In addition, we provide dog and cat food, sleeping bags, tents, socks, hygiene items, and other important personal items.

Inspiring moments: Volunteers making a difference

Rinda & Doug are preparing hot dogs for a meal. This is how it all started about 10 years ago. In the beginning meals were served the two days a month.  This quickly grew into a daily operation.

When COVID hit our community, we could no longer serve gathered meals, so Giving Hope Charity was formed, delivering individual bags into the hands of the homeless and food insecure.

Sample meal given to the homeless.

In this meal that was packed the homeless were offered hotdogs, pizza, a turkey or ham and cheese sandwich, a bag of chips, pack of crackers, and a sweet. Each bag also includes condiments and utensils if needed.

Giving Hope volunteers pack food bags and deliver them on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to the homeless on the streets, meeting the need in our north Pinellas and Pasco County communities.
